Blog Tour & Review: Blood Cure by KA Linde

Finally! The conclusion of the Blood Type series has arrived!
And guess what? It was epic and satisfying and didn't have a cliffhanger!

Woohoo!

For those that have been curious, but hesitant because of the cliffhangers, you can now binge-read the entire series one after the other.
Just saying...

Read on for my thoughts on the finale!
(Plus a couple of little teasers.)

The stunning conclusion to the Blood Type series finds the world in chaos and turmoil with one final battle left to determine who will survive—humans or vampires.

She had the world on her shoulders. Now she has nothing.

Reyna Carpenter was twenty-one when she became a live-in blood escort for the ruthless and darkly handsome vampire Beckham Anderson. She thought this was just a small price to pay for feeding her brothers back home.

But nothing went as planned. Not even her tumultuous relationship with Beckham. And now she wonders if anything will ever be the same again.

As she finds herself in the midst of a losing rebellion, she and her trusted friends must flee from a city conquered by the vampire elite. With their plans blown to pieces and everything they knew and loved gone, their future hangs in the balance.

Despite all she has lost, Reyna must rise from the ashes, reclaim the life that was stolen—and complete her mission, once and for all.

Full-length novel

First person - Reyna

I wouldn't say so.

Yes.
You really need to have read the first two books in the trilogy.

NO!!!
It's the first time in this series I can say that.
There's even a happy epilogue!

Yep.

No.

No.

Yes.

Blood Cure picks up right where book two, Blood Match, left off, which was a bloody good thing seeing as the book ended on an absolute beast of a cliffhanger!

Elle, the human/vampire rebel organisation fighting to prevent the insidious enslavement of humans by Visage, is in chaos their leadership and the majority of their members missing or dead and the survivors trying to evade capture and rally.

Our leading lady Reyna is reeling from the fate of her love, Beckham, and her remaining family. Rather than completely fall apart, Reyna steps up to the plate to pull together the tattered pieces of the organisation she unwittingly became a part of and eradicate the corruption of Visage, once and for all.

The book was full of action and moments that pulled painfully on the heartstrings with plenty of twists and turns to keep things interesting.
(Although one twist was painfully obvious if this was going to be considered a romance…)

I can't say a huge amount more without risking spoilers (and spoilers would seriously spoil this series) but what I can say is certain characters get their comeuppance (and I may have cheered and ranted that the manner of their deaths was too good for them) and other characters are lost who didn't deserve to die.
The blood match between Reyna and Beckham is explored and a discovery made that will revolutionise this world.
Good conquers evil and the world becomes a less miserable, and bleak, place in which people have hope and options again.

It was a very good end to a very good series.

Fits with all the others!
Sexy, smouldering and passionate... Pretty much sums up Reyna and Beckham.

  6. I do not like books about vampires and other vermin! Especially if it is a dystopia. It sounds so unreal, although maybe I reviewed Buffy many years ago
