The story isn't complete so plots are left unresolved. There's nothing that'll make you scream and throw the book across the room though.
No, this is book two in a series and I don't think we'll get anything resembling a HEA until the final book!
No. The love triangle from Throne of Glass is pretty much resolved.
Yes but it isn't gratuitous nor overly graphic but the book definitely isn't for the overly squeamish or for delicate flowers.
What I Liked:
I loved the character development with Celaena, Choal and Dorian. I loved how the stupid-ass love triangle from Throne of Glass was resolved without major dramas and I loved how the plot of the series developed further.
What I Didn't Like:
Nothing. There was nothing I didn't like about this book. I mean, sure, there was things that happened to characters that made me sad, made me mad, but it was their fate and it needed to happen for the story to progress...
Other Thoughts:
I can't wait to see where this series goes next!
My heart is a little bit broken and I hope that Celaena and her love can work it out.
I hope that Dorian and Choal remain safe in Adarlan.
I hope that the death of a beloved character is avenged.
I'm moving straight on to the next book!
