Review: Blood Kissed by Keri Arthur

In a world where magic and science sit side by side, and powerful witches are considered necessary aides for all governments, Lizzie Grace is something of an outlier. Though born into one the most powerful blue blood witch families, she wants nothing to do with either her past or her magic.

But when she and Belle, her human familiar and best friend, open a small cafe in the Faelan werewolf reservation, she quickly finds herself enmeshed in the hunt for a vampire intent on wreaking bloody havoc. It’s a hunt that soon becomes personal, and one that is going to take all her skills to survive–that’s if the werewolves, who hate all things witch, don’t get her first.

Oooh, I liked this. I liked this a lot.
Blood Kissed is book one in Keri Arthur's new series and it started off with a bang and got more intriguing as it went on.
The characters were likeable - I particularly enjoyed the Lizzie / Belle dynamic - the world building was very good - not too much info up front, just enough to get you started and tease at what may be in store - and the pacing of the novel had me hooked.
I struggled to put it down... So I didn't.
I read it in one sitting and then wanted more, excited to see where the world goes, and what it holds in store for Lizzie, next.

Even if the blurb was pants, the cover would have made me pick up this book.
It's awesome!
It's atmospheric and fits with the characters and overall feel of the story.
