I thought creating my "favourite reads of 2020" list would have been super difficult but when flicking through my Goodreads list for 2020, I found it surprisingly easy... I don't know why, for I had loads of 4 and 5 star reads this year, but this bunch just jumped out at me immediately!
(It's probably worth noting that this list is my favourite reads of 2020 but some of them were published before 2020; I just hadn't read them before.)
🌻
Druid Vices & A Vodka by Annette Marie
The Little Bookshop of Love Stories by Jaimie Admans
Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Song of Achilles by Madeline Millar
The Switch by Beth O'Leary
Damned Souls and A Sangria by Annette Marie
Rhythm, Chord & Malykin by Mariana Zapata
The 12 Dates of Christmas by Jenny Bayliss
Grave War by Kalayna Price
You Had Me At Hockey by Kelly Jamieson
What's on your "best of 2020" list?
I read Circe this year, I plan on reading Song of Achilles in 2021. Happy reading! https://readwithstefani.com/top-10-books-of-2020/
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot of good things about Daisy Jones & the Six.
ReplyDeleteMy post.
I love seeing Daisy Jones on here. I really loved that one and was so wrapped up in the lives of those characters. And seeing that Zapata book reminds me that I've let another year pass and *still* haven't read anything by her!
ReplyDeleteI love reading everyone's favorites of the year! I need to look up the Druid Vices and a Vodka book! And the Bookshop book, I love bookshop books. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so great that you had a group of books that easily stood out. One of these days I will finally read Daisy Jones & The Six. I may pick The 12 Dates of Christmas for my December Christmas read next year.
ReplyDeleteYay for You Had Me at Hockey. 12 Dates Looks good and I need to read that Zapata. Love her stories! Hope you have a lovely New Year, Nicci! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah for Twelve Dates! That book was stellar. I want to scream all day about it. I like seeing Jamieson up there too. I'm a fan. I need to read the new O'Leary. I liked The Flatshare a lot and am thinking The Switch would be a hit for me.
ReplyDeleteSome of these I couldn't agree more with and others I definitely need to make time for!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these yet, but I definitely want to start the Guild Codex series, and The Twelve Dates of Christmas sounds like fun. I also really want to read Madeline Miller, but I'll probably start with Circe.
ReplyDeleteBeccy, I am glad you were able to make this list so easily and that you have enjoyed so many books. I have not read any of these, but I would love to read The Song of Achilles, so great to see you loved it. 😊

I see Daisy Jones everywhere, I’ve avoided it as I’m not sure it’s my cup of tea but I’m torn as it’s gets so much love! I think it’s getting a film or series soon too. Happy New Year when it comes!
