My Favourite Christmas Songs

Not book related but it's Christmas time so I'm sharing some non-book related bits and today's post is... Christmas songs.
There are so many! And so many versions of the same songs.
It can get a bit much, but I've chosen ten that I adore, for many different reasons and decided to share them below! It's a random bunch of songs and they're in no particular order.

Check 'em out and let me know what your favourite songs are this time of year!

One More Sleep - Leona Lewis

Last Christmas - Carly Rae Jepsen

All I Want for Christmas is New Years Day - Hurts

Fairytale of New York - The Pogues & Kirsty McColl

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - Frank Sinatra

Blue Christmas - Elvis Presley

O Holy Night - Josh Groban

Sleigh Ride - Prokofiev

Walking In A Winter Wonderland - Dean Martin

Don't Shoot Me Santa - The Killers

  1. OK I admit it, I'm not a fan of Christmas songs! I get all my food stocked up in October and November so I don't need to go to supermarkets and shopping centres through December! That lets me avoid the same Christmas music on in every shop and the mad crush of fanatical shoppers! Bah Humbug!!!

    1. Lol, when I worked in retail I got very bah humbug this time of year... People are rabid! But since moving on I've went more toward being Elf than The Grinch.
I'm impressed that you manage to avoid the shops in December! I'm the nut who procrastinates to the point I'm shopping last minute for everything!

  2. Love the variety of songs and styles you shared! I've never heard that Jepsen cover but I really love the original version by Wham. This is such a fun idea for a post... would you mind if I nabbed your idea? (I'll give you credit and link back to this post, of course.) :)

  3. I don't listen to Christmas songs at all. I find them so depressing and for some reason they just make me want to cry. Nope, I refuse to listen to them again. lol I'm so weird.

  4. Oh man, I am not really a fan of Christmas songs but my mom will start listening in like, October. Lol. I think I prefer the newer ones rather than the ones that have like 100 different versions of the same song.

  6. I tend towards the classics when it comes to Christmas songs (Bing Crosby, Brenda Lee, etc), but I am intrigued that the Killers and the Pogues have holiday offerings.
